EnGenX uses cellular and GPS technology to automatically collect asset location data, engine diagnostic data and other information in real-time through a small hardware device concealed within your vehicle. That information is uploaded over a secure data network to our servers where it is processed and downloaded to your EnGenX account. You may access your fleet information from any web-enabled computer.

What does Web-based mean and why is it better?

EnGenX is a web-based solution which means that the software that runs the system is located on EnGenX servers, rather than on your computer. There is no software to install, upgrade or maintain on your computers. All you need is a computer with an Internet connection and a web browser such as Internet Explorer to access the information on your fleet.

As new features are added to EnGenX, they will simply appear on your web interface with no additional upgrade fees.

What does real-time tracking mean?

EnGenX calculates and “pings” or uploads vehicle tracking and engine diagnostic data to your computer or smart phone every two-minutes, giving you real-time visibility into your fleet operations.

What type of maps do you use?

EnGenX uses Microsoft Virtual Earth™ and Google Maps™ in our route optimization and mapping functions.

What happens if my vehicle leaves a coverage area?

If an EnGenX equipped vehicle enters an area without cellular coverage, EnGenX will store the data from that point and forward it as the vehicle resumes a cellular connection. No data is lost in this situation.

 

Can EnGenX integrate with our existing software?

EnGenX is a flexible, “open-architecture” solution that can be integrated with virtually any existing software application, including ArcMap™, TMW™ and UPS Logistics™ and others. EnGenX can be integrated with industry-leading applications in the following areas:

What hardware goes in the vehicle?

EnGenX utilizes hardware that is built to withstand the demanding environment of commercial-use automotive applications. The device is installed in a covert location within the vehicle to prevent tampering.

How do I roll out the system to my staff?

EnGenX provides a range of employee training solutions – from convenient online “webinars” to onsite, in-person training. We will work with you to determine the best training option to fit your needs.

How are software installations handled?
