EnGenX uses a cellular-based modem device that operates on any wireless platform, including GPRS and CDMA networks. The device provides pings every two minutes, providing real-time vehicle updates and Internet access via serial port. And it’s easy to install and maintain with tamper-proof features.
The Vector Unit
The Vector unit is the heartbeat of EnGenX. This unit provides a real-time connection to the EnGenX website. The information sent is used to calculate speed, distance, mileage, engine idle time and two-way messaging as well as sensor, door/open close or many other events. The device is installed in a covert location in the vehicle to prevent driver tampering. Backup batteries are available to notify of any powerloss due to accident or device tampering. Integrating EnGenX into your organization is a simple turnkey process due to the simplified modular design.
The Messenger Unit
The Messenger Unit provides an intuitive method of communicating with drivers. The Messenger Unit allows drivers to send and receive messages between the vehicle and home base. Recently added features include: clock-in and out of timesheets, track jobsite hours and tracking duty status for drivers hauling hazardous materials. Additional add-on components allow for real-time credit card processing, badge swipe, barcode scanning and printing capabilities.
The Navigation Unit
EnGenX provides the industry’s most advanced turn-by-turn navigation technology. Integrating ALK Technologies'® Co-Pilot® 7 navigation suite with EnGenX completes the turnkey package. The large color display boasts an 480 X 272 resolution for clear visibility. The text-to-speech engine clearly speaks the turn-by-turn instructions. Building upon the standard Messenger Unit the Navigation Unit provides fully functional macros and two-way communication.
